RTi was formed in 1979 by co-founders Mel Rothstein and Richard Tauber. Mel was a group brand manager and Richard was a market research professional. Together, they had a breakthrough idea that research companies could and should provide clients with more than just numbers. They saw an opportunity to redefine the role of the research supplier by acting as business partners and extending their clients’ research team’s ability to provide actionable insight to management. With Mel’s marketing and brand management knowledge and Richard’s expertise in execution, they opened the doors – well, really they sat in Mel’s living room. Thirty something years later, the company has grown to become a well-recognized and leading global research company with more than 50 employees, and a perennial AMA Top 50 Marketing Research Company.
